About the company

SmileBuilderz provides comprehensive family dental care, offering general dentistry, hygiene cleanings, and specialty services such as root canals, orthodontics, and implants. Founded by Dr. Anthony Skiadas in 2006, the practice accepts most insurance plans as an in-network provider and stays open six days a week from 8 AM to 8 PM (Monday through Saturday). Walk-ins and dental emergencies are welcome. The practice focuses on making care easy and accessible with extended hours, flexible scheduling, and a broad range of treatments under one roof. By offering a wide scope of services and accepting many insurance plans, SmileBuilderz aims to help families maintain healthy smiles without delaying care.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • The March 2025 Lititz Pike addition shows active expansion, not retrenchment.
  • Urgent dental care six days weekly drives immediate demand from pain-driven patients.
  • Long operating hours through evenings and Saturdays improve utilization and convenience versus traditional practices.

What critics are saying

  • Independent dental groups face payer pressure if Medicaid reimbursement compresses margins in 2026.
  • LPDA integration in April 2025 adds execution risk across pediatric scheduling, staffing, and branding.
  • If walk-in emergency volumes slip, SmileBuilderz loses the core differentiator supporting traffic and referrals.

What makes SmileBuilderz unique

  • SmileBuilderz runs four Lancaster-Ephrata sites, including urgent walk-in dental care.
  • It treats all ages, accepts most insurance, and advertises Medicaid acceptance.
  • The February 2025 LPDA acquisition expands pediatric reach at 1875 Lititz Pike.
