Requirements
  • Must be certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Responsibilities
  • Attend department, clinic, or company meetings as required.
  • Take appropriate action regarding questionable findings or concerns using sound judgment.
  • Work cooperatively with fellow staff members.
  • Adapt to changing situations and reprioritize work as necessary to meet current needs.
  • Maintain attention to detail in documentation, recording, and patient information.
  • Attend required annual in-service programs.
  • Follow company policies and procedures.
  • Follow facility safety requirements and procedures, identify potentially unsafe situations, and notify the supervisor.
  • Perform magnetic resonance imaging scans.
  • Screen patients and provide education.
  • Ensure all forms and orders are complete.
  • Obtain patients' medical histories.
  • Inject contrast materials.
  • Print films for physicians and radiologists.
  • Log all patients, scans, copies, and readings.
  • Stock supplies and linens.
  • Maintain room cleanliness.
  • Interact with physicians and radiologists to ensure the correct exams are completed.
  • Perform calibration and routine maintenance of the scanner and processor.
  • Protect the scanning room from potential hazards, including projectiles, credit cards, and watches.
  • Assist with front desk duties as needed, including scheduling appointments and answering phones.
