Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Completion of a qualified Medical Assistant course with active certification valid in the state of Washington is required.
  • Knowledge of the Medical Assistant scope of licensure and professional guidelines is required.
  • Proficiency in electronic medical record systems and basic computer applications is required.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with members, staff, providers, and external contacts is required.
  • Candidates must complete pre-employment drug testing, including a verified negative cannabis screen, before the start date.
  • Candidates must work within their current training and licensure.
Responsibilities
  • Assist providers in preparing for and delivering clinical services, including exams, procedures, and treatments.
  • Collect and document member vital signs, medical histories, and relevant health information.
  • Perform blood draws, electrocardiograms, and urine analysis collections within the Medical Assistant scope of licensure.
  • Prepare members for visits and explain procedures to them.
  • Provide compassionate care in a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Educate members about treatment plans, follow-up care, and available resources.
  • Address member questions and concerns professionally and empathetically.
  • Prepare and maintain the clinic for daily operations, including cleanliness, organization, and adequate supplies.
  • Collaborate with team members to coordinate member flow and optimize service delivery.
  • Support accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical record systems.
  • Work with providers and clinical staff to deliver integrated, member-centered care.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve operations and member experiences.
  • Assist with onboarding and training new team members as needed.
  • Support team members across duties as permitted by current training and licensure.
