- Completion of an education program approved by the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography with clinical experience in ultrasound.
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography registry certification in at least one area, or registry eligibility with active pursuit of certification in one or more specialty areas such as obstetrics/gynecology or abdomen; candidates who are not registered must obtain registration within six months of hire.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification.
- Review imaging orders for appropriateness and verify physician orders.
- Perform ultrasound procedures safely, compassionately, and promptly.
- Produce high-quality diagnostic images and reports for radiologist interpretation and reporting to the requesting physician.

- Provide quality diagnostic images, comfort, and care for patients and employees within Imaging Services.
- Contribute input to continuously improve departmental operations and procedures.
- One year of experience in ultrasound.
- American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography Breast or Vascular (RVT) endorsement.
