Mandolin provides an AI-driven automation platform for the specialty pharmaceutical market. Its system uses AI agents that act as a digital workforce and plug into existing EHRs, payer portals, and manufacturer hubs to handle back-office tasks for infused and injected drugs. These agents automate steps like benefits verification, insurance navigation, prior authorizations, parsing documents, and billing to manage the patient access workflow from referral to reimbursement. The platform targets infusion centers, specialty pharmacies, and health systems, aiming to shorten delays to treatment, reduce operating costs, and improve revenue cycle management.

What believers are saying

  • Mandolin’s August 12, 2026 website says it accelerates authorizations and reduces denials.

What critics are saying

  • Payers like Optum, Cigna, and CVS can harden portals, breaking Mandolin’s automations.
  • Epic, Waystar, and Availity already own provider workflows and can bundle similar tools.
  • A HIPAA or claims-integrity incident would destroy trust and trigger rapid customer churn.

What makes Mandolin unique
