Network Technical Lead
About the job
- A broad, current infrastructure understanding covering networking and connectivity, including SD-WAN and telecommunications, cloud, digital workplace, identity and security, and data and artificial-intelligence foundations.
- Ability to manage infrastructure projects end to end, including migrations, multi-site deployments, cutovers, and acceptance testing.
- Understanding of IT service management, ServiceNow, and managed operations models.
- Ability to use project-management and PMO tools and methods, including scheduling and critical-path tracking, budget monitoring, risk management, and dashboards.
- Strong technical knowledge to challenge partners and integrators on their deliverables and cost estimates.
- Act as the technical reference for the division's network team and bring the team together around shared standards.
- Design, validate, and evolve network architectures across LAN, WAN, WLAN, SD-WAN, security, and cloud, ensuring standardization and industrialization.
- Contribute to defining the division's network strategy and roadmap and lead its technical implementation.
- Ensure the availability, performance, and security of network services; oversee Level 3 support, lead root-cause analyses of major incidents, and drive associated improvement plans.
- Guide engineers in technical decisions and complex incident resolution, and support their skills development.
- Coordinate partners, integrators, and operators, and contribute to tracking service commitments and improvement plans.
- Contribute to cost optimization for the scope, including telecommunications migrations and rationalizing network links and contracts, in coordination with the PMO and sourcing.
