The Emergency Department Concierge provides non-clinical support to patients, families, and staff from arrival through discharge or admission.

Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

• Welcome and round on patients and families in the ED, addressing comfort needs and providing updates on status from registration to discharge/admission.
• Facilitate communication between patients, families, and care teams.
• Offer non-clinical services such as warm blankets, pillows, and access to resources (e.g., phone chargers, social work, chaplain).
• Assist ED staff with answering call lights, addressing patient needs, and patient transport (as trained).
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to infection control and hospital standards.
• Identify and address service recovery opportunities; escalate issues when needed.
• Promote a culture of hospitality, respect, and excellent customer service.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a fast-paced customer service environment (healthcare preferred).
• Previous patient care experience strongly preferred.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations; adaptable and solutions-oriented.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
• Personal qualities: compassionate, empathetic, approachable, positive, and professional.

Posted Salary Range

USD $23.71 - USD $26.68 /Hr.
