One Rock Capital Partners appoints Damon Anderson as operating partner.

One Rock Capital Partners appoints Damon Anderson as operating partner. October 8, 2026 Damon Anderson One Rock Capital Partners has appointed Damon Anderson as an operating partner, expanding its operational leadership team as the private equity firm strengthens its focus on procurement, supply chain management and post-acquisition value creation. Anderson brings more than 25 years of experience in global sourcing, procurement, supply chain operations, acquisition integration and business improvement across private equity-backed and publicly traded companies. In his new role, he will work with One Rock's portfolio company management teams to identify cost efficiencies, improve sourcing strategies, strengthen supply chain performance and support operational improvements following acquisitions. The appointment comes as procurement and supply chain management become increasingly important components of private equity value creation strategies, particularly for industrial and manufacturing businesses with complex supplier networks and distribution operations. "Damon has been part of leadership teams that drove successful outcomes at private equity-backed businesses," said R. Scott Spielvogel, managing partner at One Rock Capital Partners. Spielvogel said Anderson's experience will support the firm's efforts to improve procurement and supply chain performance across its portfolio. Most recently, Anderson served as vice president of global sourcing and distribution at NSI Industries, where he held several leadership positions focused on supply chain management and sourcing. During his tenure, NSI operated under multiple private equity owners and completed a series of acquisitions and successful exits. Anderson helped develop the company's acquisition integration framework, establishing processes to bring acquired businesses into NSI's broader operations. His responsibilities included coordinating sourcing strategies, managing supplier relationships and supporting operational integration as the business expanded through acquisitions. That experience provides a foundation for his new responsibilities at One Rock, where portfolio companies may require supply chain integration and procurement improvements as part of their growth and operational transformation plans. Before joining NSI Industries, Anderson held several sourcing leadership roles at Newell Brands, a global consumer products company. His most recent position at Newell was segment sourcing lead for the company's global Tools business, where he worked on procurement and sourcing initiatives supporting international operations. His background spans both large publicly traded organizations and private equity-owned businesses, giving him experience with different operating structures, capital requirements and approaches to performance improvement. At One Rock, Anderson will apply that experience across portfolio companies, working with management teams to evaluate purchasing practices, supplier relationships, distribution networks and opportunities for greater operating efficiency. "I believe efficient supply chain and sourcing strategies are central to unlocking value in industrial businesses," Anderson said. He added that his experience working within private equity-backed companies has given him an understanding of the operating partner model and its role in supporting management teams. One Rock has incorporated operating partners into its investment strategy since the firm's inception, using industry and functional specialists to support acquisition evaluation and operational execution. Anderson joins a team of 30 operating partners who work alongside the firm's investment professionals and portfolio company executives. The operating partner structure is designed to provide specialized expertise throughout the investment lifecycle, from due diligence and acquisition planning to post-transaction integration and long-term business improvement. For industrial businesses, procurement and supply chain initiatives can influence profitability through purchasing efficiencies, inventory management, supplier consolidation and more effective distribution processes. These functions can also become particularly important following acquisitions, when businesses must integrate separate supplier networks, operating systems and purchasing arrangements. Anderson's experience developing acquisition integration processes at NSI Industries aligns with those requirements. One Rock focuses on acquiring businesses with opportunities for operational improvement and growth, working with management teams to develop business plans intended to increase enterprise value and profitability. The firm uses its operating partners to assess complex investment situations, identify operational challenges and implement improvements after transactions are completed. The addition of Anderson expands the firm's capabilities in an area that can directly affect operating costs, working capital requirements and execution of acquisition integration plans. His responsibilities will include supporting portfolio companies as they evaluate procurement strategies, improve supply chain resilience and implement operational changes designed to strengthen financial performance. For One Rock, the appointment reinforces its operationally focused investment approach, adding an executive with experience managing sourcing functions and integrating acquired businesses across industrial and distribution environments. Anderson will work with the firm's existing operating partners and portfolio leadership teams to develop procurement and supply chain initiatives intended to improve efficiency, support growth and create long-term value.

How Coleman turned a fake AI product into a marketing win.

How Coleman turned a fake AI product into a marketing win. The outdoor brand created a social and ecommerce campaign around a lazy river. 13 hours ago ADWEEK House: Advertising HQ brings the people shaping advertising, commerce, and media together for four days of unscripted conversations and after-hours connections. Meet Detroit News in Midtown, Oct. 5-8. In June, an AI-generated advertisement circulated on social media for a 200-foot-long pool system designed to look like a lazy river. The product was allegedly made by Coleman and cost $999 at Costco, according to the post. Unfortunately for water park enthusiasts, the product was fake. Responding to these types of AI-generated content is a growing issue for brand marketers. At ADWEEK's Brandweek event, Jimmy Jia, global VP of outdoor and beverage at Newell Brands - which includes Coleman, Graco, and Sharpie - laid out how the brand responded to the lazy river stunt. The post caused Jia's team to carefully consider how to tell consumers that the product was fake. Lauren Johnson is Adweek's deputy editor of commerce, where she runs Adweek's retail and influencer marketing coverage. Before joining Adweek in 2024, she was an advertising reporter at Business Insider for six years and previously covered technology for Adweek. Recommended videos
