About the job
- At least 6 years of hands-on Java development experience.
- Strong expertise in Core Java, Java 8 or later, object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling, and multithreading.
- Strong hands-on experience with Spring Boot.
- Solid experience developing microservices-based applications.
- Strong experience developing REST APIs and service integrations.
- Hands-on experience with Kafka or Solace/MQ.
- Good understanding of event-driven architecture, asynchronous messaging, and distributed systems.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases.
- Experience with Git and standard software development practices.
- Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications using Java and Spring Boot.
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices following enterprise architecture and coding standards.
- Design and implement event-driven and asynchronous applications using Kafka or Solace/MQ.
- Develop Kafka producers and consumers, topics, partitions, consumer groups, and message-processing workflows.
- Work with Solace PubSub+ or MQ for reliable messaging and event distribution, where applicable.
- Implement business logic, data processing, error handling, and exception management.
- Ensure applications are scalable, highly available, secure, and performant.
- Participate in the complete software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
- Troubleshoot application, API, microservices, and messaging-related issues.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, quality assurance, DevOps, and other engineering teams.
- Write clean, maintainable, reusable, and well-tested code.
- Perform code reviews and contribute to technical design and architecture discussions.
- Implement unit and integration testing using appropriate Java testing frameworks.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines and cloud or containerized application deployments where required.
