Requirements
  • Be a member in good standing of the OIIQ.
  • Have at least 2 years of required experience in intermediate care or a critical-care unit (intensive care or emergency).
  • Have successfully completed an arrhythmia course.
  • Hold a valid driver's licence and have access to a motor vehicle.
Responsibilities
  • Provide continuous clinical monitoring, assess patients, and administer treatments to patients admitted to intermediate care.
  • Accurately interpret telemetry tracings and respond promptly to changes in cardiac rhythm.
  • Perform complex interventions and acute care for highly dependent patients.
  • Work closely with the intensive care and emergency teams and medical staff.
Desired Qualifications
  • Be comfortable managing an intubated patient receiving mechanical ventilation.
