Requirements
A bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent experience is required.
At least 5 years of experience in mission-critical environments, with a strong emphasis on mechanical systems and operations.
Strong verbal and written communication skills for working effectively with facilities operations management, team members, vendors, and customers in daily data center management.
Written technical proficiency to create and revise process documentation, including methods of procedure, standard operating procedures, and emergency operating procedures.
Problem-solving and analytical skills to evaluate situations, identify solutions, and work with leadership and teammates to resolve issues.
Ability to function effectively and maintain focus in high-pressure situations.
Attention to detail and ability to complete tasks on time.
Ability to follow instructions, respond to management direction, and volunteer readily when asked.
Ability to handle changing needs and priorities accurately and professionally.
Ability to read and understand electrical and mechanical manuals, drawings, and sketches.

Responsibilities
Serve as the main point of contact for mechanical operations and take responsibility for data center operations involving the operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical critical-environment systems.
Set standards for mechanical operations and promote safety, reliability, operational excellence, company standards, and industry best practices.
Provide daily hands-on training and development for junior technicians.
Provide field-level technical expertise as part of the facilities team.
Work with the onsite mechanical vendor to ensure ongoing operation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical systems, installation of updates, and functionality of alarms and notifications.
Develop detailed emergency, maintenance, and drill procedures in conjunction with the engineering team.
Adhere to quality, health and safety, and environmental policies within the data center.
Follow up and close out mechanical issues raised by the engineering team through daily shift reports and open work orders in the computerized maintenance management system.
Maintain all mechanical equipment at an optimal operational level.
Develop and maintain site mechanical procedures, including emergency operating procedures, standard operating procedures, methods of procedure, and drills, ensuring documentation follows current client standards.
Supervise mechanical drills and scenario-training aids.
Generate periodic technical reports detailing activities and issues relevant to the data center.
Provide site-specific mechanical training to the engineering team.
Assist with developing and training technicians on mechanical issues.
Liaise with client engineers regarding day-to-day issues and improvements or solutions for mechanical plant operations.
Report health and safety breaches through the site process.
Present a professional image of the client and T5 to staff and visitors.
Undertake tasks assigned by local management that are consistent with the role.
Develop effective working relationships with client staff and representatives.
Communicate lessons learned from project implementations to the site team and highlight measures needed to prevent recurrence in future deployments.
Help provide a safe and healthy working environment.
Assist the engineering day team as needed with additional support for critical-environment operations.
Complete other duties consistent with the role as assigned by T5FM management.
The Mechanical – Subject Matter Expert (SME) is the main point of contact for mechanical operations and is
responsible for all aspects of data center operations related the operation, maintenance, and repair of all mechanical related critical environment systems. This lead role will help set the standard of mechanical operations with an unwavering attitude and commitment to safety and reliability within the Data Center. The Mechanical - SME will drive continual improvements to the operational excellence of the data center by leading by example by adhering to company standards and industry best practices. They will have a mindset of ongoing learning and development and will be responsible for daily hands-on training and development of junior technicians.
As a member of the company’s Facilities team, the Mechanical - SME will be responsible for providing field level technical expertise.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Working with the onsite Mechanical vendor to ensure the ongoing operation, maintenance, and repair of the Mechanical, the installation of updates, and the functionality of all Mechanical alarms and notifications
Development of detailed emergency, maintenance and drill procedures (in conjunction with the Engineering team)
Adherence to all quality, health & safety, and environmental policies within the Data Center domain
Follow up and close out on all Mechanical issues raised by the Engineering Team through daily shift reports and CMMS open WO’s
Maintain all Mechanical equipment at optimal operational level
Develop and keep up to date all site Mechanical related procedures including EOPs, SOPs, MOPs and DRILLS. All documentation should be consistent with current client standards
Supervision of Mechanical drill and scenario training aids
Generation of periodic technical reports detailing the activities and issues relevant to the Data Center domain
Provide site specific Mechanical training to the Engineering Team
Assist in the development and training of technicians with Mechanical related issues
Liaise closely with the client engineers with regard to day to day issues & improvements/solutions to the operation of the Mechanical plants
Report health and safety breaches through the site process
Ensure the professional image of the client and T5 is presented to staff and visitors at all times.
Undertake other tasks as defined and requested by local management
Develop a good working relationship with all members the client staff and representatives
Communicate any lessons learnt from project implementations and highlight them to the site team to ensure measures are put in place to avoid these for future deployments
Ensure the provision of a Safe and Healthy working environment. To include the wearing of the Supplier uniform at all times and appropriate PPE as required
This role also includes assisting the Engineering day team if required to provide additional support within Critical Environment operations
Adhere to all relevant Danish safety laws
Complete other such duties consistent with your role as you may be assigned by T5FM management
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) or equivalent experience, required
5-7+ years’ experience in mission critical environments with a heavy emphasis on mechanical systems and operations
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND COMPETENCIES
Strong verbal and written communication skills required for working effectively with FOM, team members, vendors and customers on daily data center management
Good written technical proficiency to support the creation and revision of process documentation (MOPs, SOPs, and EOPs)
Above average problem-solving and analysis skills for evaluating a situation, identifying solutions, and working with leadership and teammates to resolve
