  • 2–7 years of experience in SaaS or energy sales (startup experience a plus)
  • Either: (a) Background in renewable development or interconnection, OR (b) proven ability to sell into a technical market without prior domain experience
  • You’re energized by outbound prospecting and breaking into new accounts
  • You have (or are excited to develop) a strong understanding of transmission and grid interconnection

Responsibilities
  • Drive new business from renewable energy developers to achieve a $2M annual quota
  • Own the full sales cycle—prospect, qualify, demo, negotiate, and close
  • Research and target renewable energy developers using a strategic and data-driven approach
  • Engage with Transmission, Interconnection, and Development teams to understand their pain points
  • Educate prospects on how Nira can de-risk and accelerate their project development
  • Partner with internal teams (Product, Engineering, Data) to relay customer insights and refine messaging
  • Track pipeline activity and maintain accurate forecasts in the CRM
  • Build trust along with a strong pipeline of deals through outbounds, industry events, and relationships
  • Become a student of interconnection and transmission planning — able to speak credibly with technical buyers
  • Partner closely with product and customer success to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term adoption
  • Work with the sales leadership team to refine our sales playbook

Nira Energy provides a subscription-based platform with a map tool that helps developers visualize available injection capacity data at electrical substations. It uses ISO-grade power flow models and performs injection studies to support interconnection planning for greenfield projects. Revenue comes from tiered subscriptions based on the number of users and regions, and benchmarking calls allow clients to compare Nira Energy’s results with past studies. The goal is to help energy developers and grid managers optimize land position and interconnection planning with timely, region-wide insights.
