  • Deep expertise in employee experience and service platforms, including ServiceNow, Digital Workplace, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Moveworks or comparable conversational AI platforms, Workday or HR/pay systems, and enterprise knowledge capabilities.
  • Proven ability to provide practical architecture guidance that helps teams move from idea to executable plan, balancing speed, risk, scale, and business value across both targeted enhancements and multi-year transformation programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of responsible AI and agentic AI architecture, including orchestration, grounding, permissions, APIs, retrieval, model use patterns, observability, risk review, and approved use case governance.
  • Strong integration, identity, and data architecture skills, including zero-trust and secure-by-design principles.
  • Working knowledge of Legal, ESG / Global Impact, ERG, HR, pay, and enterprise service management processes, with the ability to translate business needs into practical technology patterns.
  • Executive-level communication and influence; able to frame options, risks, and trade-offs for non-technical audiences.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor senior architects and engineering teams without direct authority.
  • Strong experience with vendor and platform rationalization and building business cases.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; typically 13+ years, with 8+ years of direct work-related experience in enterprise or solution architecture. Less experience is accepted with a relevant Master's or Doctorate.
  • Proven ownership of architecture strategy and roadmaps for multi-platform employee enablement portfolios, including business functions such as legal, HR, pay, impact, service delivery, collaboration, and digital workplace.

  • Experience supporting a mixed portfolio of work, including smaller high-value business efforts, platform enhancements, and large-scale transformational programs, with demonstrated ability to improve project readiness, reduce rework, and align delivery teams before execution begins.
  • Experience in a regulated environment and advising senior executives.

Responsibilities

  • Define the long-term vision, principles, and target-state roadmap for the full employee enablement portfolio, including General Counsel, Global Impact, People and Pay, ServiceNow, Digital Workplace, Moveworks, Microsoft 365, and AI-enabled service channels.
  • Engage early across intake, discovery, design, and planning to shape scope, clarify architectural runway, identify dependencies, reduce delivery risk, and ensure both small business-critical efforts and enterprise transformation programs are positioned to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Design how ServiceNow, Digital Workplace, Moveworks, Microsoft 365, Copilot, Workday, and related employee service technologies work together to create intuitive journeys, reduce friction, and improve productivity.
  • Guide the Employee Enablement team through enterprise architecture reviews, solution option assessments, design approvals, exception handling, and alignment with enterprise technology standards.
  • Clarify what each platform owns across legal, impact, HR, pay, service delivery, collaboration, and AI-enabled support; eliminate duplication; and drive rationalization across overlapping capabilities and vendors.
  • Partner with Responsible AI use boards, Security, Privacy, Legal, Compliance, and platform teams to ensure AI-enabled experiences follow approved use cases, data access controls, grounding expectations, human oversight, sensitivity labeling, DLP, and regulatory requirements.
  • Advise executives on technology risks, trade-offs, vendor strategy, and investment decisions.
  • Coach architects and engineers, lead design reviews, and raise architecture maturity across Employee Enablement Services.
