About the job
- A Bachelor of Nursing is required.
- Current Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency registration is required.
- At least two years of emergency department experience is required.
- HLTPAT005 training in collecting specimens for drugs of abuse testing is required.
- A current, open Class C Australian driver's licence is required.
- Full Australian work rights are required.
- Current immunisations for tetanus and hepatitis A and B are required.
- Computer literacy in Microsoft Office Suite is required.
- Successful applicants must undertake a pre-employment medical and National Police check.
- Provide first response to incidents and injuries on site.
- Assist a team of paramedics, nurses, and emergency services officers in responding to emergency activations under the direction of the SEM Supervisor.
- Assist with injury management and return-to-work duties for injured or ill workers.
- Conduct drug and alcohol testing and fitness-for-work assessments.
- Maintain site clinic standards, including auditing and ordering drugs and equipment.
- Assist with training and health, safety, and environment activities as required, such as personal protective equipment fit testing.
- Work with site health teams to promote health initiatives on site.
- Rural or remote nursing experience is highly desirable.
