Today at 10:05 AM News Reporting FARGO - Brick by brick, store by store, West Acres is on a hot streak of adding new stores and big brands for Fargo mall-goers to enjoy. West Acres announced Thursday, Oct. 15, that The LEGO Store is coming to the mall. The state is home to LEGO resale stores, but the mall will contain the first official North Dakota LEGO-branded store. Three new downtown Fargo businesses opening soon "We are thrilled to announce that The LEGO(R) Store will be joining West Acres in mid-2027!" West Acres Director of Marketing and Experience, Maija Davis, said. "As the first and only LEGO(R) Store in North Dakota, the store will be located in the former White House Black Market space, directly across from the future L.L.Bean store, with construction expected to begin in the first quarter of 2027." White House Black Market, a polished, upscale fashion brand, was a West Acres tenant from 2012 until it closed in March. Now, six months later, West Acres announced LEGO is coming to the mall in that storefront, along with other businesses opening soon. "We are thrilled to be welcoming Hammer Made, a Minnesota-based men's clothing retailer, to West Acres," Davis told The Forum. "Known for their button-ups, high-quality European materials and everyday essentials, Hammer Made will be a wonderful addition to our tenant mix. They will be located in the old Merle Norman space in the JCPenney wing and will open in late 2026!" Hammer Made is a Minnesota brand, with a total of eight other locations, including: in Minnesota - Galleria Edina, Mall of America in Bloomington, Ridgedale Center in Minnetonka, Rosedale Mall in Roseville, and in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport. Other states - Miami International Airport, Fashion Show Mall in Las Vegas, and Pittsburgh Airport. Hammer Made offers a new selection for men's apparel in West Acres with button-ups, sport coats, flannels, stretch pants and more. The North Face is also opening in the JCPenney wing of West Acres before the end of the year. In August, it was announced The North Face would open in the space formerly home to Eddie Bauer. "These additions reflect the continued strength and vibrancy of West Acres and the confidence retailers have in our shopping center and the Fargo-Moorhead market," Davis said. Construction for The LEGO Store will begin in the first quarter of 2027, as well as the planned opening of outdoor retailer L.L. Bean in the former Forever 21. LEGO, selling iconic plastic construction toys, is a highly sought-after global brand that has grown to be loved by kids and adults for its endless imaginative creations. LEGO is also known for its bountiful design collections like vehicles, botanicals and animals, as well as massive partnerships based on major entertainment brands like Star Wars, Harry Potter, Marvel and more. LEGO was patented in 1958, and the LEGO Store at the Mall of America opened in 1992. "The store will bring the full LEGO(R) retail experience to West Acres, offering an engaging and interactive shopping experience for guests of all ages," Davis said. "We are confident it will be a great addition to our tenant mix and a strong draw for guests throughout our region." News Reporting Stephanie joined The Forum in January 2024 as a junior in college. Where alpine heritage meets street culture: MAMMUT x Undermycar 26FW "underground alpine" Capsule collection unveiled.

Where alpine heritage meets street culture: MAMMUT x Undermycar 26FW "underground alpine" Capsule collection unveiled. | Input: 10/14/2026, 00:01 A fusion of technical excellence and techwear silhouettes - your definitive introduction to MAMMUT for this winter's outerwear wishlist. Swiss high-end outdoor authority MAMMUT, renowned for its alpine heritage, has joined forces with Undermycar, a streetwear label celebrated for its structural panelling and techwear aesthetic. Merging the core strengths of both brands, the 2026 FW capsule collection "Underground Alpine" has finally been revealed. This collection accurately targets the intersection where outdoor performance meets the sensibility of urban street culture. Built on a monochrome base inspired by the stark contrast of snow-capped mountains and rocky crags, it is finished with MAMMUT's iconic signal-red logos to deliver a balanced, high-impact visual appeal. MAMMUT: A 160-year legacy of Swiss precision engineering. Founded in 1862 as a producer of agricultural ropes in Switzerland, MAMMUT boasts over 160 years of history as one of the world's premier technical outdoor brands. Having established an unchallenged foothold in mountaineering and alpinism, MAMMUT holds a top-tier 'High-End Technical Outdoor' position that easily rivals global industry leaders like The North Face and Arc'teryx. Unlike brands focused primarily on casual lifestyle wear, MAMMUT remains committed to high-spec gear capable of withstanding the harsh environments of the Swiss Alps. Its flagship lineup includes windproof and waterproof hard-shell jackets, ultra-lightweight insulating (IN) down pieces, hybrid grid-fleece layers for climate control, and pants featuring ergonomic movement panelling. Reinterpreting MAMMUT's iconic alpine line through Undermycar's streetwear lens. What makes this collaboration so compelling is how MAMMUT's signature technical categories have been transformed into fresh utility wear through Undermycar's distinct design language. First, MAMMUT's iconic 'IN (Insulation)' line returns as down jackets optimized for winter warmth and layering. The IN Down Jacket, filled with a 90:10 premium goose down ratio and constructed with a stitch-through design, provides exceptional warmth and lightness. Meanwhile, the IN Jacket combines compact insulation with grid fleece panels that quickly wick away internal moisture - making it an ideal standalone jacket or a core mid-layer under a winter hard shell. The windshell and hybrid outerwear line showcases MAMMUT's alpine performance capabilities at their finest. The Windshell Jacket, constructed from ultra-lightweight 10D 3-layer ripstop fabric, delivers windproof and waterproof protection. The Hybrid Jacket incorporates premium grid fleece in high-mobility areas, ensuring unrestricted movement during dynamic activities. The pants and accessories also feature the brands' signature 3D pattern engineering. The Pants feature ergonomic movement guides spanning from the knee to the thigh, paired with adjustable hem drawstrings to offer a versatile fit that transitions seamlessly between wide and jogger styles depending on footwear. The line is completed by a Bag with adjustable shoulder straps and an internal packable pocket, and a Cap featuring seam-taped interiors and a stopper system - bringing the total capsule lineup to 7 versatile pieces. Ultimately, MAMMUT's deep alpine legacy, combined with Undermycar's spatial panel cuts and monochrome color blocking, creates a synergy that bridges the gap between the wilderness and the city. Editor's comment. What immediately captures attention in this collection is the cool, highly refined color palette anchored in black, silver, and white. As highlighted in the official brand release, the minimal monochrome contrast - inspired by the light and shadow of snowy peaks - is accented by MAMMUT's iconic red logo, achieving a sharp and sophisticated utility aesthetic. More importantly, now is the ideal time to start building your fall/winter outerwear lineup. Experience shows that once the winter cold truly sets in, finding high-performance down jackets with the right fit and design becomes extraordinarily difficult. In that sense, the insulation down and jacket offerings in the 'Underground Alpine' collection deserve a top spot on your winter wishlist. For anyone who previously found MAMMUT unfamiliar or overly specialized, this collaboration offers the most engaging gateway into the brand's universe. For fashion enthusiasts seeking a departure from cookie-cutter outdoor aesthetics, the combination of MAMMUT's uncompromising technical specs and Undermycar's streetwear silhouettes delivers an unrivaled presence for the FW season. By preserving authentic outdoor specs without compromise while seamlessly infusing techwear design cues, this collaboration marks the arrival of a standout collection for the season.

Texting your order, drone deliveries: DoorDash unveils major platform updates.

Texting your order, drone deliveries: DoorDash unveils major platform updates. Posted: Sep 30, 2026 / 11:51 AM PDT Updated: Sep 30, 2026 / 12:51 PM PDT DoorDash announced major updates across its platform Wednesday, including pilot deliveries for its drone delivery service and a new feature that allows users to text in orders instead of using the app. Drone deliveries. The new service, known as DoorDash Air, will run on top of DoorDash's delivery network. On Wednesday, the company announced that pilot drone deliveries will begin in Northern California in partnership with national restaurant brands, including Chipotle Mexican Grill and Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen, along with mom-and-pop shops. DoorDash said about 80% of its typical restaurant orders are light and small enough for its aircraft to carry safely. Its Autonomous Delivery Platform will also use smart routing, incorporating factors like weather, flight range, and ground traffic to narrow down further which orders make sense to send by air. In June, the company announced it had received certification from the Federal Aviation Administration to operate commercial drone deliveries in the United States. Skip the app and text your order. Beginning Wednesday, users can order by text message. Here's how it works. * Text what you're craving * Skip the search: DoorDash searches local restaurants, scans menus and suggests a cart based on what you're in the mood for. It can also text photos of recommended food directly from a restaurant's DoorDash page. * Truly personalized ordering: Text "order my usual" and the system can recognize past orders, including modifications and preferences. DoorDash says the feature becomes more personalized over time. * Manage group preferences with ease: The platform can handle multiple dietary preferences and quantities in a single order. * Checkout without ever opening the app: Users can confirm their order within the text thread and complete checkout. Starting Wednesday, DoorDash users in the United States can apply to try the feature in beta by joining a waitlist at doordash.com/text. The mall in your pocket. DoorDash is expanding its retail marketplace by adding brands including Macy's, Anthropologie, The North Face, Vans and Timberland. The company said shoppers can browse a wider selection of apparel, beauty, and home goods with delivery from hundreds of stores nationwide. DoorDash is also expanding its return service. Dasher Returns is live in select cities and is expected to roll out nationwide in November. Customers pay a flat $7.99 fee to schedule an eligible return without needing a box or shipping label. The company noticed that pricing is subject to change. According to the company, a Dasher can pick up a return in as little as 30 minutes and bring it back to the store, where the return is processed. The delivery platform is also incorporating new tools to help restaurants grow, new artificial intelligence tools for dashers, and a new connector for corporate ordering. More information about the updates can be found here.
