About the job
- A Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology degree in Software, Information Technology, Electronics or Electrical Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or Machine Learning.
- Two to four years of experience in the manufacturing industry as a data analyst or data scientist.
- Hands-on coding knowledge in C, C++, R, Python, and Java.
- Knowledge and experience in statistical and data-mining techniques, including generalized linear models, regression, random forest, boosting, trees, text mining, and social network analysis.
- Experience visualizing and presenting data to stakeholders using Power BI, Tableau, and PowerPoint.
- Implement and support value streams in executing digital solutions in the plant.
- Mine and analyze database data and carry out predictive modeling to improve operational excellence.
- Develop custom data models and algorithms for data sets.
- Communicate the benefits of digital solutions to senior management and employees and promote innovation and continuous improvement.
- Develop project plans, manage budgets, and track progress against milestones.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and standards related to digital technology in manufacturing.
- Analyze manufacturing-process data to identify operational-efficiency improvements and measure the impact of digital-transformation initiatives.
- Promote current digital technologies and their application in manufacturing and ensure their adoption by the plant.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, external partners, lead-plant representatives, and experts in other plants to deliver digital solutions and manage vendor relationships.
