Requirements
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
  • Currently enrolled in an undergraduate program and have at least one semester or quarter of school remaining after the internship.
  • Completed at least one year of full-time coursework post high school graduation at the time of application (obtained sophomore standing).
  • Available to work full time for a minimum of 12 weeks while not concurrently enrolled in coursework.
  • Strong written, verbal, communication, and interpersonal skills. Passion for mission and vision.
Responsibilities
  • share in the team’s impact on all aspects of design, develop, and testing of software used to 'fly' rockets on mission operations without ever leaving the launchpad.
  • innovate to build the frameworks and tools needed to integrate various spaceflight systems with model simulations.
  • contribute to ground software systems and tools that enable us to test and fly our vehicles.
  • work to continuously improve our product, internal tools, and processes with the goal of automating and testing everything in order to make it fast and make it scale.
  • contribute to Enterprise Technology which is the center of excellence for digital technology at Blue Origin.

Blue Origin focuses on making space travel accessible through suborbital space tourism. The company offers unique experiences where passengers can travel to the edge of space aboard its reusable rocket, New Shepard. This rocket takes passengers on an 11-minute journey, allowing them to experience several minutes of weightlessness and stunning views of Earth from over 100 kilometers above.
