Requirements
  • 3–5 years of experience in structured cabling, electrical, or data center infrastructure roles.
  • 1+ years of experience leading crews or serving in a team lead capacity.
  • Strong working knowledge of structured cabling, including copper and fiber, racking systems, and power delivery.
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, cable maps, and labeling schedules.
  • Clear verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to delegate, prioritize, and adapt to shifting project needs.
  • Comfort using basic digital or paper-based reporting tools to track tasks and time.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and work on ladders or lifts as needed.
  • Comfort working in live data center environments and construction settings.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or night shifts if required by the project.
Responsibilities
  • Direct the day-to-day tasks of a team of technicians performing rack installations, cable pulling, terminations, labeling, testing, and clean-up.
  • Ensure all work is performed according to site standards, project specifications, and safety guidelines.
  • Perform hands-on work while monitoring quality control across the team.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior technicians.
  • Act as the liaison between crew members and the Foreman, Supervisor, and Project Manager to communicate progress, issues, and material needs.
  • Track daily work progress and provide status updates to site leadership.
  • Support training efforts to elevate technician skills and promote best practices.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and problem-solving in the field.
  • Ensure proper personal protective equipment usage and compliance with all safety protocols.
Desired Qualifications
  • Bilingual Spanish and English language ability.
  • Occupational Safety and Health Administration 10 or 30 certification.
  • BICSI Installer II or Technician certification.
  • Manufacturer certifications such as Corning, Panduit, or CommScope.
  • Cardiopulmonary resuscitation and First Aid certification.
