Head of Social Media

We're looking for a Head of Social Media who will own Reserve's social presence and help shape the narrative of the company as we build it.

This role is equal parts social media lead and narrative operator. You'll be responsible for running and growing our channels, and you'll work closely with the founders and team to identify the stories worth telling, develop them into ongoing narratives, and figure out how we tell them over time.

We're building around two connected ideas: creating more economic opportunity for a new generation of people earning, building, and creating online, and rethinking what money itself can be. You'll help bring these stories to life while documenting the people, ideas, and work behind Reserve and what it actually looks like to build the company.

We want someone who can recognize a story while it's happening and turn it into something people want to follow.

UGLYCASH is a financial services app designed around the needs of people earning money on the internet: creators, remote workers, freelancers, and entrepreneurs whose banks weren’t built for how they earn.

We’re starting in Latin America. Over the last 22 months, UGLYCASH has reached $5M+ in revenue run rate and 32,000+ monthly active customers.

Better Money

What happens to that money after you earn it matters too.

Cash, money in a bank account, and payment stablecoins each work differently. We believe the money people use should do more than move from one place to another. It should also give people a better way to save and grow what they earn.

That’s why we’re continuing to improve the version of money UGLYCASH customers already use, with the long term goal of giving more people access to better options for their money.

What You'll Be Doing

• Manage and grow social channels across the Reserve project, including UGLYCASH and our broader Better Money initiatives
• Own and develop the ongoing narrative of Reserve across social platforms
• Work closely with the founders and team to identify the stories, personalities, moments, and ideas worth turning into content
• Think beyond individual posts — build recurring storylines, formats, and content arcs that give people a reason to keep following
• Turn what's happening inside the company — launches, conversations, experiments, wins, failures, events, and everyday moments — into compelling narratives
• Make complex ideas about money, technology, and financial opportunity interesting, accessible, and relevant to a broader audience
• Partner closely with our Film Creator to decide what should be captured and how those moments become stories
• Develop and maintain the social content calendar and publishing cadence across platforms
• Stay deeply plugged into internet culture and identify relevant trends, conversations, and formats we can participate in
• Continuously experiment with how we tell our story, learn what resonates, and evolve the narrative accordingly

What we look for in you:

• Located in the United States and willing to move to San Francisco after hire (relocation support provided)
• You're a strong storyteller with an instinct for finding the story people actually care about.
• You have experience building and growing an audience — ideally across Instagram and a writing-led platform like Substack.
• You know how to develop clear content pillars and recurring formats that build a recognizable voice.
• You think in narratives, not just individual posts.
• You have strong editorial and creative taste and know what feels culturally relevant.
• You're deeply internet-native and understand how people consume, share, and engage with content online.
• You're strategic but hands-on — you can shape the story and make sure it gets executed.

• Compensation: $10,000 - $15,000 per month & equity/token grant
