About the job

Requirements
  • At least 12 years of relevant career experience in product, technology, healthcare, or a combination, including at least 6 years in product management, with career growth and increasing responsibilities.
  • At least 5 years of people management experience, including managing a multi-person Product Management team through hiring, coaching, and performance management.
  • Experience running a roadmap or capacity governance process across more than one team.
  • Ability to hold Product Managers accountable to a plan without owning deep domain expertise for every squad.
  • Ability to operate without formal authority over adjacent functions, build working agreements with other departments, and escalate conflicts appropriately.
Responsibilities
  • Own the active roadmap, planning cycles, and delivery execution for product squads covering Total Cost of Care, EHR and Integrations, and Data Platform.
  • Own squad-level strategy and execution for four squads, translating product strategy into consistent, high-quality delivery.
  • Serve as the management layer between the SVP Product and four independently run squads, owning day-to-day delivery and acting as the primary escalation point for four Product Managers.
  • Hire, coach, and retain a high-performing team of Product Managers, run performance reviews and career development, and build the PM bench.
  • Hold Product Managers accountable for sizing work against capacity, identifying root causes, making tradeoffs, staying aligned with engineering and stakeholders when priorities change, interpreting OKR metrics, and evaluating engineering estimates and vendor claims.
  • Own capacity tracking and execution measurement across squads, proactively identify risks, and work with Product Managers to mitigate them.
  • Build and run the roadmapping process, including cadence, format, and OKR-to-project traceability; establish necessary team processes and retire unnecessary ones.
  • Coordinate with Design and Engineering to deliver the roadmap consistently and with high quality.
  • Coordinate with Product Marketing, Operations, and Growth to drive awareness and adoption of new and future capabilities.
  • Coordinate with Technical Implementations, Enterprise Analytics, and DevOps leadership to align their work with the four product squads.
  • Develop and share points of view on Stellar's work and be willing to disagree and commit.
Desired Qualifications
  • Healthcare or health-tech background, particularly value-based care, given that several squads' work is specific to EHR integrations and value-based care.

About the company

Stellar Health builds a web-based, point-of-care app that helps healthcare teams deliver value-based care. The Stellar App sits in providers’ workflows and, when used with modern browsers like Chrome and Edge, centralizes payor-specific tools and spreadsheets into one unified platform. It guides clinicians to complete specific, actionable tasks through real-time notifications and a built-in incentive structure, encouraging behavior that improves patient outcomes while controlling costs. The company partners with payors and health systems and earns revenue by offering the platform to support value-based care programs at scale. Compared with other solutions, Stellar Health emphasizes real-time, task-driven incentives and a single, integrated workspace that connects providers, payors, and health systems. The goal is to help partners achieve better patient outcomes and stronger financial performance by making it easier to manage care across multiple health plans.

What believers are saying

  • March 2026 CFO Raul Smith strengthens payer discipline and financial operating rigor.
  • May 2026 CTO Falko Buttler accelerates AI infrastructure and automated referral workflows.
  • December 2025 CenterLight and November 2025 $5.0 million savings validate commercial traction.

What critics are saying

  • A May 2026 breach report can trigger HIPAA penalties, churn, and contract reviews.
  • Value-based care adoption depends on payor payments; weak unit economics crush expansion speed.
  • Epic, Veradigm, and point-solution rivals can commoditize task prompts before 2027 renewals.

What makes Stellar Health unique

  • Stellar embeds real-time VBC tasks into point-of-care workflows, not separate admin portals.
  • Its 2026 shaco ACO turned Medicare savings into product proof, not theoretical software.
  • Vim integration and 20,000-provider network deepen workflow lock-in across practices.
