  • Bachelors degree in law, business, information technology, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of experience in privacy compliance, preferably in the telecommunications industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of global privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other relevant frameworks.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess and mitigate privacy risks.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively educate and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Relevant privacy certifications (e.g., CIPP/E, CIPM, CIPT) preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive privacy policies and procedures in accordance with applicable laws and regulations, as well as industry best practices.
  • Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant privacy laws and regulations, including GDPR, CCPA, and other global privacy frameworks.
  • Conduct regular privacy risk assessments and audits to identify potential areas of risk and implement measures to mitigate those risks.
  • Develop and deliver privacy training programs to employees to ensure awareness and understanding of privacy policies and procedures.
  • Conduct privacy impact assessments for new products, services, and initiatives to identify and address potential privacy risks.
  • Manage and respond to data subject access requests, ensuring timely and accurate responses in accordance with legal requirements.
  • Evaluate the privacy practices of third-party vendors and service providers to ensure they meet the company's privacy standards.
  • Develop and oversee incident response procedures for privacy breaches, including investigation, notification, and remediation.
  • Work closely with product and engineering teams to incorporate privacy principles into the design and development of products and services.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for regulatory authorities on privacy matters, including responding to inquiries and participating in regulatory investigations.
