Responsibilities
  • Welcome customers, answer their questions, help them locate items, and provide advice or recommendations.
  • Operate scanners, scales, cash registers, and other electronic equipment.
  • Balance the cash register and generate reports for credit and debit sales.
  • Accept payments, ensure all prices and quantities are accurate, and provide a receipt to every customer.
  • Process refunds and exchanges and resolve complaints.
  • Bag or wrap purchases to ensure safe transport.
  • Follow store procedures regarding coupons, gift cards, and the purchase of specific items such as alcohol or cigarettes.
  • Maintain a clean workspace.
