Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Two or more years of experience in metal fabrication or industrial manufacturing is preferred.
  • A foundation in machine operation and machine programming is required.
  • The ability to read a tape measure and follow specifications is required.
  • Experience with hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment is required.
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude are required.
  • Reliable attendance, a strong work ethic, and a team-oriented approach are required.
  • Willingness to undergo a background check, drug test, and physical is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted and stand, bend, and move throughout the shift is required.
  • Manual dexterity, strong visual acuity, stamina, clear communication, and adherence to safety procedures are required.
  • The employee must use required personal protective equipment, including safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, and steel-toed shoes.
Responsibilities
  • Operate up to five machines to complete the cover band process.
  • Measure, cut, and form metal parts to specifications, including reading a tape measure.
  • Fit and fasten bands and inspect completed assemblies for proper fit and quality.
  • Operate fabrication equipment such as press brakes, shears, punches, and saws.
  • Handle heavy steel rolls safely and efficiently.
  • Read work instructions to fabricate parts to specification.
  • Perform tack welds and minor assembly work.
  • Ensure components meet quality and dimensional standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals.
  • Maintain clean and safe work areas and follow all safety procedures.
  • Perform other duties as needed as part of a cross-trained team.
