Responsibilities
Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and mechanical repairs on rental construction equipment.
Travel to job sites to perform on-site maintenance, service, and repairs.
Provide customer service through positive, solution-focused interactions.
Diagnose and troubleshoot diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical systems.
Use diagnostic software, gauges, and specialized tools to identify equipment issues.
Test-run equipment to verify repairs and ensure operational safety.
Train and mentor technicians.
Complete work orders, service reports, and maintenance records accurately and on time.
Support shop and customer workflow and assist other technicians as needed.
Overview
Milton Rents is hiring Heavy Equipment Road/Field Mechanic to support a modern, well-maintained fleet of construction rental equipment. This role is ideal for technicians with experience in diesel engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, preventive maintenance, and equipment repair.
Technicians work in a professional, team-oriented environment and collaborate daily with yard personnel, drivers, counter staff, and branch managers. You’ll service late-model equipment and play a key role in keeping equipment running safely and efficiently.

Pay range: $34.00 - $38.00/hour based on experience.
