Requirements
  • A master's degree in Social Work and Licensed Clinical Social Worker credentials.
  • Compliance with Kentucky social work board statutes, laws, and regulations governing clinical practices.
  • Four to six years of direct social work experience, including four years of post-master's clinical social work.
  • Advanced knowledge of the mental and physical characteristics of the applicable population, psychotherapy, human behavior, related issues, community resources, and SCS services.
  • Ability to handle a caseload involving varying levels of client disability and need.
  • Ability to remain on twenty-four-hour call when required.
  • Reliable transportation for frequent travel between work sites.
  • Ability to work with occasional exposure to threats of bodily harm from clients or their families and exposure to blood, body fluids, or tissue.
  • Working knowledge of and compliance with policies and procedures related to safety management and Joint Commission standards.
Responsibilities
  • Perform clinical services using group and individual therapy, family and marital therapy, expressive therapy, crisis intervention and management, psychodrama, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Maintain and complete service documentation, including psychosocial assessments, case notes, case reviews, court reports, and letters, according to prescribed standards.
  • Conduct case reviews and determine current and future treatment and treatment planning, including after-care plans for clients completing treatment, based on quantitative results and professional opinion of client progress.
  • Consult and collaborate with external agents, including CHR, school officials, family members, physicians, and other health agencies, regarding organizational programs and client needs and conditions.
  • Attend and participate in staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, case conferences, and clinical seminars, providing information related to program administration and development.
  • Write correspondence on behalf of clients and their families, including court reports and letters of recommendation.
  • Conduct case presentations and consultations with other agencies regarding programs and services offered.
  • Conduct emergency evaluations of high-risk clients to determine the indicated level of treatment and arrange for hospitalization as needed.
  • Develop and coordinate clinical programs within the division.
  • Exercise principle-centered leadership focused on customer service responsiveness and continuous quality improvement.
