Requirements
  • Completion of a course in Radiological Technology approved by the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
  • Maintain certification with the American Registry of Radiological Technologists.
  • Maintain an active Indiana state license.
Responsibilities
  • Prepare patients for radiological procedures, communicate the process to patients, and take x-rays following established patient care and safety procedures.
  • Use and maintain radiation protection and shielding materials.
  • Evaluate equipment to ensure it is working properly and report malfunctions or concerns to a supervisor in a timely manner.
  • Process and enter radiological procedure information into the electronic health record after completion and provide additional reports and information as needed.
  • Evaluate and maintain examination rooms so they are clean and stocked, including replenishing medical and radiological supplies.
  • Sterilize and clean examination rooms and equipment according to standard procedures.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality in all situations.
  • Participate in professional development activities and maintain applicable professional affiliations and certifications as required.
  • Attend and participate in required organizational meetings and committees as requested.
  • Perform additional related duties as assigned.
