HoneyBook has launched Business Phone & SMS, a paid add-on giving members a dedicated toll-free business number for calling and texting clients through its app. The service integrates calls, texts and emails into a single client record alongside proposals, contracts and invoices. During beta testing with 140 businesses starting in March 2026, SMS messages achieved a 98% open rate and 80% reply rate, compared with 10% for email. SMS reply times averaged 10 minutes versus 5.5 hours for email. The service includes AI-powered call transcription and summarisation, automated workflows, and message templates. All team members share the same business number, creating a unified communication record. Pricing starts at $8 monthly for 300 SMS messages, with tiers up to $20 for 1,000 messages. The service is available to US-based HoneyBook members and supports messaging with US and Canadian numbers.
HoneyBook has launched HoneyBook MCP, a connector that integrates its client relationship platform with AI assistants like Claude. The tool allows independent business owners to access and manage client pipelines, invoices, contracts, and communications directly through AI conversations. Users can create and manage projects, update client records, send invoices and contracts from templates, and issue payment requests without switching between systems. The integration addresses administrative challenges facing small businesses, particularly in accessing fragmented client data across multiple platforms. A recent HoneyBook study found that small businesses using AI tools earn nearly five times the revenue of non-adopters. The company also found that 96.9% of venue operators lack access to needed technologies for booking events. Built on the open-source Model Context Protocol standard, HoneyBook MCP includes enterprise-grade privacy controls and is now available to all HoneyBook users.
HoneyBook has released research showing that 95% of professional photographers still manage post-shoot workflows manually. The study of 425 US photographers found that only 5.2% have fully integrated systems for tracking work after shoots. More than half of photographers copy-paste client information between tools (51.1%) and manually email gallery links (55.5%) for each client. This manual handoff takes roughly 30 to 60 minutes per client and intensifies as businesses grow. In response, HoneyBook has introduced new features including photo galleries, mini-session booking, consolidated messaging, and tap-to-pay billing directly within its client management platform. The company aims to reduce the manual work photographers face across multiple disconnected tools. HoneyBook is a client flow management platform serving over 100,000 service-based businesses that have booked more than $10 billion through the platform.
HoneyBook, a business platform for service-based entrepreneurs, introduced artificial intelligence-powered business management tools. “While AI solutions have largely been built for enterprises or consumers, independent entrepreneurs have been left with fragmented tools that require constant coordination,” the company said in a Tuesday (March 25) news release. “HoneyBook is changing that by embedding AI directly into business workflows, making automation seamless, proactive and deeply integrated into the way entrepreneurs work.”. HoneyBook’s AI offering can suggest leads and help create content to manage those leads. It can also manage projects and tackle finances after booking. Using “deep contextual intelligence” from 10 years of independent business data, HoneyBook AI allows for “smarter, more personalized decisions” with no need for users to train the AI, the release said
