- Ensure clean and orderly rooms are available and public areas are organized and clean according to the brand's quality standards.
- Manage the housekeeping area, including organization, cleaning, and maintenance of hotel rooms and public areas, guiding the team, prioritizing and distributing tasks, and resolving operational issues.
- Manage the purchase, care, and inventory of uniforms and linens.
- Liaise with suppliers, assess their products and offers, obtain quotes, and make purchases after approval from a supervisor.
- Supervise internal or external laundry operations.
- Participate in preparing the annual budget with a supervisor and monitor actual results against budget.
- Maintain the hotel's décor, including upholstery, floristry, and art objects.
- Control housekeeping department purchases by checking product types, prices, and quantities, correcting discrepancies, and validating them with management when needed.
- Coordinate with other departments to resolve matters related to the area.
- Manage lost and found items through delivery to the guest or final disposition, observing holding deadlines.
- Ensure management-contract targets are met.
- Ensure housekeeping area self-control processes and procedures are carried out.
- Coordinate the team, selecting, training, evaluating performance, and encouraging employee motivation.
- A completed higher-education degree in Tourism, Hotel Administration, or a compatible field is desirable.
