Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in energy, environmental science, policy, engineering, or a related field and a minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience
  • Eligible for security clearance; U.S. Citizenship required; ability to obtain and maintain a DOE security clearance (Secret/Top Secret or DOE Q)
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools; strong analytical thinking; excellent communication abilities; subject matter expertise in energy and policy domains
Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis of energy consumption, production, and trends to support policy development
  • Process and interpret data to produce insights that guide program evaluations and policy decisions
  • Provide public comment review, data analysis, modeling, evaluation, mapping, forecasting and report development, data tracking tools, workforce policy analysis and convening
  • Provide energy market economic and regulatory analysis technical consulting services and support for the Department of Energy Office of Policy
  • Develop analyses and support initiatives aligned with project objectives; assess impact, feasibility, and outcomes of energy programs and policies using qualitative and quantitative methods
  • Engage with stakeholders to ensure alignment with DOE objectives
  • Contribute to documentation and dissemination of energy solutions across DOE initiatives

  • Domain expertise and technical proficiency in related fields
  • Possession of additional related qualifications or certifications in energy policy, data analytics, or modeling
