Requirements
  • Current unrestricted midwifery registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Previous experience working in Post Natal units.
  • Contemporary knowledge of best practice in maternity and newborn nursing care and the patient journey.
  • A minimum of three years of experience after postgraduate study.
  • A minimum Level 3 FSEP Practitioner credential.
  • Applicants must satisfactorily clear a National Police Check.
  • Applicants may be required to hold a valid employee Working with Children Check.
  • Applicants must comply with Epworth's annual influenza vaccination policy where required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the Midwife Unit Manager and assist with the overall clinical management and team leadership of the 34-bed Post Natal unit.
  • Participate in the Leadership Team focused on patient, family, and staff experience and high-quality clinical outcomes.
  • Lead the team through positive role modelling.
  • Assume Midwife Unit Manager responsibilities when and where needed.
