About the job
- An appreciation for the design-build process, including understanding construction and maintenance practicalities as a complement to interior design.
- Knowledge of commercial interior design processes and materials, as well as the codes and standards influencing them.
- Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong graphic and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to travel regularly in support of project and client relationship development.
- Create interior design concepts using common design and documentation tools.
- Collaborate with a diverse team to develop interior design solutions for clients within budget, schedule, and quality constraints.
- Develop two-dimensional and three-dimensional images and media to convey interior design concepts and present them to clients.
- Specify finishes and furniture with an understanding of their installation and maintenance requirements.
- Coordinate with design and construction professionals to ensure proposed concepts can be practically executed.
- Review submittals and shop drawings during construction.
- Visit construction sites to help ensure expectations and standards are met.
- Participate in industry conventions and fundraising events.
- Communicate with local product and manufacturer representatives to expand the team's knowledge of interior design, materials, and systems.
- Communicate with clients to understand their wants and needs.
- Familiarity with Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design concepts and processes, and similar sustainability rating systems.
- NCIDQ certification or progress toward certification.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Interior Design from an accredited program.
- At least five years of experience in a design firm.

Breaking ground on another industrial project with Mapletree in Joliet. Keeley Construction recently celebrated the groundbreaking of a new 419,520-square-foot industrial facility at 1851 Brandon Road in Joliet, Illinois. The ceremony brought together representatives from Mapletree, Rider Levett Bucknall (RLB), Architects Plus Design Studio, CAGE, and the Keeley Construction team to mark the beginning of another collaborative project. This development marks Keeley's second project with Mapletree in Joliet. Together, the two industrial facilities represent more than 731,800 square feet currently under construction, highlighting the continued strength of the partnership and Keeley's growing presence in the region's industrial market.
