The Enterprise Skills Leader is a pivotal thought and practice leader who supports delivery of Truist’s strategic objectives through achievement of a skills-based talent practices. This role will lead development of the strategy for Truist which involves articulating the long-term vision for skills at Truist, prioritizing use cases, building a skills transformation roadmap and executing on prioritized use cases to include implementation of near skills assessment for SWFP. This leader is responsible for developing and implementing tools, processes, and policies related to Skills programs or use cases. This role is responsible for driving forward implementation ad adoption of skills based talent practices at Truist. The role will play a thought leadership role and coordinate with partners on implementation of use cases skills including partnership with teams across Talent Management, Total Rewards, Strategic Workforce Planning and Analytics.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Skills Strategic Roadmap and Transformation Leadership: Lead Skills Strategy for Truist; identifies, evolves and articulates long-term vision, objectives and outcomes for skills strategy. Develops a comprehensive skills transformation roadmap (prioritizes use cases and develops plans for specific skills use case implementation)
2. Team Leadership: Leads team a team of individual contributors responsible for designing and implementing skills related policies, programs, procedures to include:
a. Truist Skills Assessment Policy and Framework
b. Creation and maintenance of the Truist Skill Inventory
c. Identification of current skill gaps as well as emerging critical skill needs to ensure sufficiency capability in identified roles across the business as part of Truist’s Strategic Workforce Planning Framework
d. Identify, track and report on skills KPI’s for reporting business, risk partners, and regulatory partners as needed
3. Skills Assessment: Partners with SWFP team to fully implement skills framework for SWFP audiences and conduct assessments for these audiences as needed. Engage partners on consultation to close skill gaps.
4. Policy and Framework Ownership: Defines and owns skills governance, policies, processes, and procedures for all skills use cases
5. Cross Functional Collaboration:
a. Partners with HR COE leaders on skills implementation in their practices.
b. Partners with Tech leaders to create a dynamic foundation of technology for long term roadmap
6. Promotes a skills-driven culture aligned with Truist’s Purpose Mission and Values and Teammate Value Proposition
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s degree and 12+ years of relevant experience in Talent Management, Organization Development/Effectiveness, Learning, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience
2. Demonstrated proficiency developing strategy and implementing human capital initiatives that have require complex/integrated solutions (e.g., technology, processes, policies, tools, change management)
3. Ability to drive execution while keeping focus on the big picture; able to connect the dots across multiple pieces of work
4. Ability to consult and influence others at senior levels on new perspective and complex issues.
5. 7+ years experience leading a team of professional-level contributors and/or working with external partners to deliver solutions.
6. Knowledge of the industry’s competitive landscape and an understanding of the market and regulatory factors that shape the industry.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Master’s degree preferred in HR, Organization Psychology or other related fields of study
2. Prior work leading skills based solutions
3. Experience working multiple industries to include financial services
