About the job

Requirements
  • At least 10 years of direct-to-consumer digital and ecommerce experience, including at least 5 years leading teams and owning a profit-and-loss statement.
  • Experience in luxury, fashion, or premium consumer brands, including the ability to grow a brand-led business without relying on discounting.
  • Experience as a functional owner who sets strategy, owns budgets, and is accountable for outcomes rather than executing within someone else's framework.
  • Experience building or scaling in-house performance marketing and retention functions, with fluency in attribution, incrementality, and the current paid media landscape.
  • Deep knowledge of Shopify Plus, Google Analytics 4, and the modern direct-to-consumer tool stack, with strong command of search engine optimization, conversion rate optimization, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Ability to interpret data quickly, act on it, and explain insights to a leadership team.
  • Ability to work in a founder-led creative environment and pair commercial discipline with a distinctive brand voice.
Responsibilities
  • Own revenue, contribution, and growth targets for the ecommerce channel, and plan and manage the budget across media, tools, and headcount.
  • Build and run a digital growth strategy aligned with brand and corporate strategy, integrating site, paid, email and SMS, affiliate, and influencer channels, managed by and responsive to metrics.
  • Lead site operations, digital merchandising, and the conversion roadmap for krewe.com; advance site architecture, data capture, and path-to-purchase optimization to drive paid and organic sales.
  • Direct customer acquisition across Meta, Google, TikTok, and emerging paid channels, developing measurable growth engines with sound attribution.
  • Own email, SMS, and lifecycle marketing in-house, and build segmentation and a conversion strategy across customer cohorts.
  • Review channel performance and report insights, trends, and opportunities to the leadership team; own the digital KPI stack and forecast accuracy.
  • Build, develop, and lead the digital team across site, performance marketing, and retention, setting goals aligned with company priorities.
  • Partner with Brand Marketing on launches, campaigns, and creative deployment within established creative-review procedures, and collaborate with Retail and Wholesale to deliver store traffic and awareness in new markets.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with international ecommerce and omnichannel retail is a strong plus.

About the company

KREWE designs and sells sun and optical eyewear inspired by New Orleans, offered through direct-to-consumer sales, its Maison du KREWE flagship, and wholesale partners like Nordstrom and Bloomingdale’s. Each pair is handcrafted in small batches from materials such as plant-based acetate, bio-plastics, titanium, and 24K gold-plated hardware, and undergoes a 100-point quality inspection. The brand differentiates itself with New Orleans-inspired designs, artisanal craftsmanship, and a strong service promise including a complimentary replacement for the first full-price pair (Second Chances) plus a lifetime warranty option, plus community investment through the KREWE Foundation. Its goal is to celebrate New Orleans’ energy and style through durable eyewear and meaningful customer service while improving access to vision care in the community.

Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • KREWE opened Rice Village Houston and Charlotte pop-up in 2025, showing continued expansion.
  • Summer 2025 and May 2025 collections show fresh product cadence supporting repeat purchases.
  • Greyson collaboration and full-service optical bars deepen premium positioning and broaden male customer reach.

What critics are saying

  • KREWE’s 2020 employee revolt still defines employer brand risk around Stirling Barrett’s leadership.
  • Rapid store expansion increases lease, inventory, and staffing burden before profitability is publicly proven.
  • Independent eyewear brands face fashion-cycle fatigue; a weak collection after 2025 collections hurts traffic.

What makes KREWE unique

  • New Orleans-rooted design and storytelling still differentiate KREWE across 18 stores in 2025.
  • KREWE combines DTC, wholesale, and permanent retail, including Soho, Houston, Austin, and Nashville.
  • The 24-hour custom lens program and Second Chances warranty create sticky premium eyewear loyalty.
