Four to six years of experience in bridge design.
Experience in new bridge design, bridge rehabilitation, load ratings, and/or bridge inspection.
Experience with structural design software such as AASHTOWare BrR, Midas 3D Civil, STAAD Pro, MDX, CSiBridge, LUSAS, and/or other structural analysis software and applications such as MathCAD.
Working knowledge of reading plans and shop drawings and evaluating contractor compliance with construction plans and specifications.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.), AutoCAD/Civil 3D, and/or MicroStation.

Responsibilities

What you’ll be challenged to do:
GFT has an opening for a Bridge Engineer/ Project Bridge Designer to engage in structural design, rehabilitation, analysis and load rating of bridges as well as the inspection of bridges and tunnels, preparation of construction documents, specifications, and estimates. This position is open to candidates with between 4 – 6 years of experience. Day-to-day assignments and technical guidance will be provided by Project Managers and Senior Project Engineers.
In this capacity, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
