  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities
  • Provide advanced administrative support to the Division of Animal Resources Director and coordinate department or business-unit operations.
  • Serve as a highly visible resource for internal and external constituents, explain and enforce department policies and procedures, resolve escalated problems or concerns, and communicate on behalf of managers when needed.
  • Monitor and request updates to website and social media channels and collaborate with marketing and communications on communications projects and materials.
  • Produce and edit complex documents, reports, spreadsheets, and presentation materials; respond to routine correspondence; and prepare meeting agendas and minutes.
  • Coordinate multiple calendars and schedule complex meetings and logistics, including arrangements involving external groups and constituents.
  • Oversee daily department or business-unit operations, evaluate workflow, productivity, and customer service, and oversee university services related to technology, facilities, procurement, and other needs.
  • Oversee databases and file systems; manipulate and audit data or request data from other sources to prepare analytical reports.
  • Coordinate plans and logistics for projects and large-scale events, including marketing and publicity, speaker communications, venue coordination, and tracking project timelines and deliverables.
  • Monitor and track expenditures, research and resolve problems, prepare reports, assist with projections, and work with department or unit leadership as needed.
  • Assist with monitoring grants and contracts.
  • Train new support staff, students, and temporary help; provide direction, guidance, and feedback on work performance when needed.
  • Prepare and monitor human resources and payroll transactions.
  • Perform other duties as needed.
