  • Bachelor’s Degree or military experience
  • At least 3 year of product management experience or at least 3 year of experience in product design, agile delivery, business analysis, data science, or software engineering
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering (preferred)
  • MBA or Master’s degree (preferred)
  • 2+ years of experience in Agile product management (preferred)
  • Strong SQL/data analysis skills
  • Proficiency in handling large data files using SQL, Python, and/or R.
Responsibilities
  • Support the delivery of our data imperatives.
  • Design and build Supplier payment data product that maximize leverage for the business and serve the needs of your internal and external customers.
  • Immerse yourself in understanding your customer(s) by employing empathy and design thinking. Prioritize and lead discovery in complex spaces for data modernization and processing. Build and maintain strong relationships with leaders and stakeholders that depend on our data product and performance of our platforms.
  • Create a vision and 6-12 months roadmap for your product that addresses partner/stakeholder needs, to enable data producers and consumers to transform, standardize, and productionize their data easily.
  • Defines OKRs for your Data Product.
  • Own day to day setting and monitoring of KPIs - requires strong SQL/data analysis skills.
  • Define MVP’s, data products requirements, rationalize & recommend sequencing, goal setting, story writing, product execution, testing, and product roll-out strategy.
  • Lead team(s) of software and data engineers to design and deliver data products for internal users, partnering with Enterprise teams to ensure compliance with Enterprise data requirements and data patterns.
  • Produce quality usable data by designing and coordinating with teams to implement the data production patterns. In addition, partner with other internal teams on data quality standards and enhancements.
  • Partner across teams and downstream data consumers to accelerate adoption of data and changes to existing data sets. Identify areas of opportunity to support data producers and data owners in both acquiring new data (externally) and making it available to the right consumers.
  • Own day to day operations of this data product, including identifying bugs or leverage opportunities via comprehensive understanding of data. Use SQL to identify insights, build a data-backed strategy, and troubleshoot issues.
  • Serves as the internal and external subject matter expert for your data product and its role in Capital One’s ecosystem, with accountability for owning the definition of data, including its usage and constraints.
  • Partner with analysts, data scientists, designers, engineers, and others to continuously refine the roadmap and harvest insights from experiments and product launches.
