Requirements
  • Associates or bachelor’s degree in human resources or business or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years of experience in HR administration including familiarity with benefits, compliance, HRIS, and payroll processes
  • Proven ability to handle confidential information professionally and discreetly
  • Excellent (Run Happy!) interpersonal and communication skills with the capability to build trust and respect within the organization
  • A positive attitude and passion to learn
  • Demonstrated willingness to help others
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail in planning, organization and execution of tasks
  • General knowledge of both federal and state employment laws, and other employment labor laws; FLSA, EEO, FMLA, ADA, OSHA
  • Experience with Workday a plus
  • Strong self-starter – ability to take on, prioritize, and complete projects with minimal direction
  • Passionate participation in Brooks’ sports activities a plus, overridden by the ability to understand and empathize with the runner in order to develop loyal, engaging relationships with our customers and the Brooks community

Responsibilities
  • Partner with Senior Manager, HRBP to support HR priorities across the business, including data and analysis, communications, and employee-facing resources
  • Manage subfunction client groups, as appropriate and assigned, in partnership with the HRBP(s) supporting Sales and Marketing
  • Address and manage employee relations and performance management situations spanning from low to medium complexity, supporting the HRBP team and their client groups as needed and assigned
  • Facilitate job changes and exit processes, ensuring clear instructions and timely guidance for managers
  • Monitor and process terminations and job changes in the system to ensure timely execution
  • Support HR Rhythm of the Business (“ROB”) items, including but not limited to Cultural Strength Survey (“CSS”), talent reviews, merit and reward process, and our intern program (“Sprintern”)
  • Manage employment-related inquiries including initial employee requests via HR team email, chat and phone and employment verifications as appropriate
  • Respond to unemployment verifications with state ESD or appropriate party
  • Prepare, interpret and analyze scorecard/dashboard/workforce data reports and conduct audits
  • Complete annual, monthly, ad hoc reporting requirements to meet city, state, federal, and organizational guidelines
  • Act as the Brooks liaison with our immigration counsel for employees requiring sponsorship
  • Support the immigration process, accurately tracking status and progress through required steps
  • Communicate frequently and thoroughly with involved parties to ensure alignment on status
  • Track and update work authorization documents for sponsored employees
  • Impact HR operational excellence by ensuring accurate documentation and guides for all employee-facing processes
  • Partner with HR stakeholders to support creating applicable materials
  • Manage the Brooks InsideTrack HR page and serve as the HR subject matter expert for all things on SharePoint
  • Work closely with the Internal Communications team to ensure the HR page is updated with pertinent and accurate information
  • Support HR requests to post to the page and identify and drive improvements for ease of use
  • Assist with the ongoing review and maintenance of procedures, and policies including the Employee Handbook
  • Maintain local, state, and federal employment law updates including updating employment law posters and employee communication
  • Identify and drive HR process improvement efforts, leveraging HR systems to automate and eliminate manual work where possible
  • Own operational improvement projects and HR rhythm of business (ROB) workstreams
  • Educate the HR team on process improvement changes or new process expectations
  • Maintain HRBP process documentation, partnering with appropriate HRBPs ensuring that all processes are updated and documented regularly
  • Shepherd the contingent worker process from initial manager request through hire, and offboarding
