- At least 5 years of industry experience in a related design or development role.

Responsibilities
- Own the development of critical engine components, such as chambers, injectors, and turbopumps, and/or systems, such as pressurization and attitude control.
- Define top-level engineering requirements aligned with business and mission objectives.
- Identify and evaluate design strategies and select optimal approaches to meet performance requirements.
- Perform system sizing and analysis using hand calculations, custom scripts, and advanced simulation tools.
- Develop streamlined workflows, processes, and tools to enhance design and production efficiency.
- Execute detailed design work while considering manufacturing, operational, and reliability constraints.
- Lead product development, testing, qualification, and integration.
- Develop production methodologies and support initial hardware builds.
- Design and fabricate test hardware and production tooling to validate designs.
Desired Qualifications
- Experience with aerospace component technologies, including spring-energized seals, bearings, and force balances, as well as test and qualification best practices.
- Proficiency in computer-aided design software such as NX, CATIA, and CREO/Pro-E.
- Strong analytical capability using hand calculations and finite element analysis tools such as ANSYS.
- Familiarity with solenoid coil design processes and software such as Maxwell.
- Understanding of manufacturing processes, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing, and design for manufacturability principles.
- Ability to develop scripts in Python or MATLAB for automation and analysis.
- Understanding of compressible and incompressible flow dynamics and thermodynamics.
- Ability to write and execute test procedures for complex hardware operations.
- Technical writing and communication skills for design reviews, test plans, and systems.
