About the job
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is required, although four additional years of experience may substitute for the degree.
- Eight years of experience in software development are required.
- Strong proficiency in Python is required.
- Experience working with data frameworks such as Pandas or Polars is required.
- Experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQLite, PostgreSQL, or MySQL is required.
- Familiarity with Git and GitLab for source control and collaborative development is required.
- Familiarity with TypeScript or JavaScript and React or another modern front-end framework is required.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working directly with customers and incorporating feedback are required.
- Experience supporting applications and servers in production environments is required.
- Active Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information clearance with polygraph is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required; green card holders and permanent residents are not eligible.
- Applicants selected must obtain or maintain a government security clearance.
- Develop data transforms across a variety of formats, including text, JSON, XML, databases, and configuration files.
- Gather feature requests and application requirements to understand project and customer needs.
- Explore unfamiliar data sets and collaborate with analysts to identify the right questions and approaches.
- Develop and enhance tools to improve application and data processing performance.
- Manage and support mission-critical servers and applications, contributing to both server framework development and system administration.
