About the job

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of hands-on experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or Site Reliability Engineering, including demonstrated experience designing and standardizing enterprise continuous integration and continuous delivery pipelines.
  • Deep hands-on proficiency with Amazon Web Services and Kubernetes, including Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service, container networking, pod security, and Helm chart lifecycle management.
  • Practical experience with GitOps controllers such as Argo CD or Flux, and automated canary deployment strategies such as Argo Rollouts, weighted ingress, or Application Load Balancer traffic shifting.
  • Practical software development experience with C#/.NET, Node.js, and Python to build internal tooling, automate platform interfaces, and understand service-level application code.
  • Hands-on experience engineering self-hosted artificial intelligence architecture, including model gateways, intelligent request routing, and orchestration of multi-step agentic workflows.
  • Working knowledge of virtual-machine delivery concepts such as HashiCorp Packer, Amazon EC2 Launch Templates, Cloud-Init, or rolling agent deployments.
  • Experience integrating security scanning tools such as Trivy, Snyk, SonarQube, or AWS Inspector into deployment workflows as quality gates.
  • Experience authoring modular, maintainable Terraform or Pulumi infrastructure-as-code definitions.
  • Practical capability with AI-assisted development tools, such as copilots and chat assistants, to accelerate operational toil, and with architecting scalable infrastructure for AI-driven workloads.
Responsibilities
  • Architect, implement, and maintain centralized, reusable continuous integration and continuous delivery pipeline templates using GitHub Actions or GitLab CI that abstract underlying infrastructure from software developers.
  • Build a modular release architecture that runs universal scanning and sanitization upstream and dispatches to specific downstream delivery targets.
  • Implement GitOps promotion with Argo CD or Kargo and progressive canary rollouts with Argo Rollouts to Amazon EKS.
  • Build automated machine-image pipelines using HashiCorp Packer and AWS Launch Templates, and blue/green agent updates for state production systems using EC2 or ClearData Docker.
  • Provide engineering teams with preconfigured project scaffolding and Helm/infrastructure-as-code modules so they can independently stand up services within compliant guardrails.
  • Embed automated vulnerability scanning in the build process, including static application security testing and software composition analysis dependency checks.
  • Implement container image hygiene and snapshot CVE detection before promotion.
  • Implement pre-commit and pipeline secret detection to eliminate static credential leaks.
  • Automate generation of software artifacts and deployment logs for SOC 2 Type II, HIPAA, and federal public-health security audits.
  • Design and operate programmatic secrets distribution through External Secrets Operator syncing from AWS Secrets Manager or Parameter Store, backed by least-privilege IAM roles.
  • Partner with Engineering leads to ensure services meet automated operational standards before reaching staging or production.
  • Ensure platform templates integrate standardized OpenTelemetry instrumentation for logging, distributed tracing, and metrics, feeding the Grafana LGTM stack and Datadog.
  • Embed client-side sanitization checks in build and logging pipelines to verify protected health information and personally identifiable information are redacted before reaching centralized collectors.
  • Architect and operate secure, compliant private artificial intelligence infrastructure, including self-hosted AI gateways, traffic routing, rate limiting, and private cloud-hosted large language model endpoints.
  • Design, deploy, and support scalable execution environments for autonomous agentic workflows, including multi-agent pipeline orchestration, vector storage integration, and operational context retrieval.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience working inside AWS GovCloud and navigating GovCloud IAM/IRSA partition boundaries.
  • Background in HIPAA-regulated, HITRUST, or public-sector SaaS data environments.
  • Experience building and deploying backend services or automated agent frameworks in C#/.NET Core, Python, or Node.js/TypeScript.
  • Experience deploying and managing vector databases such as Qdrant or pgvector, and embedding inference pipelines in containerized environments.
