Requirements
  • Graduation from an accredited high school or GED program plus four years of experience supporting departmental applications.
  • Familiarity with standard office software, including template and fillable-form creation using Adobe Acrobat or Nuance, web browsers, and audio/video recording software configuration options and settings is preferred.
  • Prior work experience with or familiarity with department operations and workflow.
  • Must pass a background investigation and a national fingerprint-based records check before placement when the position provides access to criminal justice databases, and must maintain the ability to pass the records check while in the position.
  • Ability to work in a standard office environment and lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted.
Responsibilities
  • Support the training and operations functions of specific software applications, including user account management, user training, and troubleshooting all aspects of the system.
  • Train users on functionality and changes and interface with users to determine and assist with issues.
  • Assist with developing technical training programs, materials, and lab exercises.
  • Assist with evaluating trainee performance and the training program.
  • Set up and modify user accounts and update case assignments following staffing changes.
  • Assist with troubleshooting software issues, refer unresolved system and application issues to technical staff, document system problems and resolutions, and maintain activity-tracking systems.
  • Assist with issues involving media and other files, including uploading and downloading files or discs, audio/video software, and other file issues.
  • Create or assist with document templates, prose templates, and updates to various prose codes.
  • Participate in researching and testing new software or updated features.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
