Requirements
  • Ability to multitask and self-prioritize.
  • Ability to wear and use appropriate personal protective equipment as necessary.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.
  • Ability to physically meet the demands of the position, including lifting, bending, twisting, pulling, and pushing loads up to 50 pounds.
  • One year of experience.
  • ServSafe certification.
  • Knowledge of food service techniques, sanitation, and safety.
  • Ability to work with diverse teams and provide guest service.
  • Ability to prepare and upload a resume or curriculum vitae, cover letter, and contact information for three professional references when applying.
Responsibilities
  • Perform tasks related to the production and service of cold food and beverage items according to recipes.
  • Ensure a positive guest experience in designated areas while maintaining cleanliness and safety standards.
  • Present menu offerings in accordance with standardized recipes.
  • Operate the full line of equipment and point-of-sale systems as directed.
  • Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen and service equipment.
  • Assist with guest flow and guest experience while ensuring operational standards.
  • Work with staff to resolve operational issues and maintain a professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Participate in the orientation and training of team members.
  • Assist and direct student co-workers.
  • Monitor product quality, including patron counts, presentation, temperature, and sanitization standards.
  • Maintain records of patron counts, temperatures, food consumed, returned, or discarded as required.
  • Inform management of customer impressions, suggestions, and equipment failures.
  • Comply with state and local health codes.
  • Maintain, report, and correct substandard safety and sanitation practices.
  • Wear and launder the provided departmental uniform in accordance with the Hospitality Handbook.
  • Address departmental needs, including changes in work area, operation, or assigned duties within Hospitality Services.
  • Temporarily alter the work schedule when needed to support guest service.
  • Work respectfully with co-workers and student employees as required by the UNH Hospitality Handbook.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
