Requirements
  • High school diploma or GED; technical certification or associate degree in electronics, electromechanics, or a related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or assembly environment, preferably in electrical or industrial equipment
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, components, and tools
  • Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams
  • Basic knowledge of quality control systems and practices
  • Proficiency using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment
  • Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Commitment to safety standards and procedures
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
Responsibilities
  • Assist PE with optimization of metal fabrication and assembly processes, ensuring they meet quality and efficiency standards
  • Support the development of work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent production practices
  • Support quality assurance efforts by monitoring production processes and participating in root cause analysis for any defects or issues
  • Contribute to the execution of engineering projects, including process validations, capacity analysis, and production trials under the direction of senior engineers
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the implementation of new manufacturing technologies and process changes
  • Participate in continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing process efficiency, reducing waste, and improving overall production outcomes
  • Support Lean Manufacturing principles and other improvement methodologies
  • Work closely with engineers to gain hands-on experience in manufacturing engineering, including exposure to process design, optimization, and quality control
  • Assist in the creation of training programs for operators and design engineers on process curriculum
  • Enforce safety protocols, 5S practices, standard work, and compliance with operational policies
  • Support cross-training, and upskilling of team members in partnership with Learning & Development
  • Support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action implementation for issues impacting quality, delivery, or safety

  • Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD)
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001/AS9100 standards and safety protocols
  • Willingness to learn and apply new skills in a manufacturing setting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow instructions and complete tasks accurately
