Requirements
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • An active Secret clearance is required.
  • A B.S. degree is required in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Physics, or a related STEM field.
  • At least 5 years of software development experience is required, with demonstrated depth in scientific computing, numerical simulation, high-performance computing, or data-intensive desktop applications.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript, React, or an equivalent modern frontend framework is required.
  • Experience with a compiled or just-in-time compiled high-performance language such as Julia, C++, Rust, Fortran, or Python with NumPy, Numba, or Cython extensions is required.
  • Understanding of thread-level parallelism, SIMD, and memory-access optimization for numerical workloads is required.
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs as a client-server boundary within a single-machine application is required.
Responsibilities
  • Implement and optimize the Julia physics computation server, including trajectory integration with RK4/RK45 schemes via DifferentialEquations.jl, SGP4 orbital propagation with SatelliteToolbox.jl, and a Monte Carlo driver using Threads.@threads parallelism.
  • Profile and optimize computation-critical paths, and benchmark throughput and latency against program requirements, including 10,000 Monte Carlo runs within a defined wall-clock target.
  • Integrate ONNX.jl surrogate model inference for real-time parameter sweeps and ensure inference latency meets the less-than-1-millisecond interactive target.
  • Implement CZML generation from physics outputs, including trajectory arcs, satellite orbital paths, and coverage footprints, for time-dynamic Cesium visualization.
  • Design and maintain the mission data model, including JSON serialization, a versioned file format with backward compatibility, and cross-platform path handling for Windows and Linux.
  • Implement the HTTP.jl API layer with defined request and response schemas, error handling, and structured logging.
  • Build React and TypeScript components for the mission planning interface, including the tabbed mission overview, asset and task tree views, mission parameter forms, and analysis panel.
  • Integrate and maintain the CesiumJS and Resium 3D globe with asset markers, trajectory rendering, satellite ground tracks, coverage footprints, and CZML-driven animation with the Cesium timeline.
  • Manage frontend application state, including mission data, UI state, and asynchronous physics query results, using suitable state-management patterns for a data-heavy desktop application.
  • Implement data-driven analysis visualizations, including trajectory plots, Pk curves, and Monte Carlo distribution charts, using Recharts, Plotly.js, or an equivalent library.
  • Maintain the GitHub Actions CI/CD pipeline to produce Windows NSIS installers and Linux AppImages from a single codebase.
  • Manage PackageCompiler.jl sysimage builds for the Julia physics server binary on Windows and Linux.
  • Maintain electron-builder configuration and platform-specific packaging scripts, and validate installer behavior on clean Windows and Linux test environments.
  • Implement build-time embedding of ONNX model files and asset resources, and manage versioning of bundled artifacts.
Desired Qualifications
  • An active TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
  • An M.S. degree is preferred.
  • Direct experience with Julia and the SciML/DifferentialEquations.jl ecosystem, including PackageCompiler.jl sysimage generation, is preferred.
  • Experience with CesiumJS, Resium, and CZML for 3D geospatial visualization is preferred.
  • Familiarity with orbital mechanics, trajectory simulation, or atmospheric modeling at an implementation level is preferred.
  • Experience with ONNX Runtime, ONNX.jl, or equivalent machine-learning inference frameworks is preferred.
  • Experience with Electron and electron-builder for cross-platform desktop deployment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with radar detection, electro-optical/infrared performance, acoustic propagation, or multi-sensor tracking at the level of integrating model inputs and outputs correctly is preferred.

The Generative Reality: why we're investing in Odyssey.

The Generative Reality: why Wyldvc is investing in Odyssey. Since the dawn of digital entertainment, Wyldvc has lived in a world of "baked" pixels. Whether it is a Hollywood blockbuster, a AAA video game, or a social feed, the digital experiences Wyldvc consume are static artifacts. They are pre-rendered, pre-determined, and fundamentally passive. You can navigate a game world, but you cannot change its physics. You can watch a video, but the story ends where the file stops. Wyldvc has spent decades building increasingly high-fidelity cages - beautiful, but rigid. Today, Wyldvc is thrilled to announce its investment in Odyssey. Odyssey is not just building another AI video generator. They are a visionary AI lab building the engine for Generative Reality: a world where digital environments are not fetched from a server, but imagined in real-time, frame-by-frame. Beyond Video: The Shift to Causal World Models The current AI video landscape is largely dominated by bidirectional models - systems that look at a beginning and an end to "fill in" the middle. While the results are visually stunning, they are inherently "closed." They are clips, not worlds. They cannot scale to infinity because they require a predetermined "ending" before the first frame is even rendered. Odyssey has taken a fundamentally different architectural path. By utilizing causal architecture, Odyssey generates each frame based solely on the historical state of the world.

Odyssey lands NVIDIA and Samsung backing to build AI world simulator

Odyssey, an AI research company developing frontier world models, has secured investment from NVentures, NVIDIA's venture capital arm, and Samsung Next. The funding will support development of a general-purpose world simulator capable of generating infinitely long, interactive simulations from any starting point. Founded two years ago, Odyssey recently released Odyssey-2 Pro, a world model that can be integrated into applications across robotics, gaming, education and defence. The investment adds to backing from GV, EQT, Air Street Capital and notable angel investors including Jeff Dean and Elad Gil. The company will use the capital to improve simulation length, quality and interactivity, whilst scaling infrastructure for training next-generation world models. Odyssey's research team includes talent from DeepMind, OpenAI, Tesla, Waymo and Meta.
