About the job
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Applicants must be at least 18 years old.
- Two years of prior customer service experience is desired, but not stated as a strict requirement.
- Basic knowledge of gaseous and diesel engine operation is required, or the ability and willingness to train and build knowledge of generators.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English is required.
- Customer service skills are required.
- Basic math skills are required.
- Ability to work independently and unsupervised is required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional overtime, is required.
- Organizational skills and the ability to multitask are required.
- Computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and data entry, are required.
- Applicants must be able to pass a background check and periodic drug screens.
- Provide customer service to customers who call or visit.
- Assist the sales department in scheduling setup of new equipment.
- Generate work orders for service technicians.
- Assist with scheduling and routing service jobs.
- Check customer, loaner, and rental units in and out.
- Produce quotes and invoices.
- Support the Service department with paperwork.
- Track open job orders for potential missed billing opportunities.
- Pull technicians’ jobs daily, match time to jobs, and log scorecard dates.
- Coordinate activities among sales, parts, service, and technicians.
- Coordinate needed maintenance for rental fleet equipment.
- Two years of prior customer service experience.
