We are seeking a visionary and strategic Senior Director, Artificial Intelligence (AI) Strategy to lead the ideation, research, and integration of AI capabilities across WorkWave. This position will report directly to the Chief Product Officer and will be responsible for identifying AI opportunities, developing innovative concepts, and working cross-functionally with technical teams to bring these ideas to life, both within the company and within customer applications. This role is crucial in transforming WorkWave’s future by incorporating cutting-edge AI technologies to increase WorkWave’s operational efficiency and customer experience.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive AI strategy aligned with WorkWave’s company and business objectives in support of a vision that will impact both internal operations and customer-facing products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, data science, support and marketing to identify opportunities for AI integration.
- Help build, manage and mentor a team of AI engineers and data scientists to design, develop, and deploy AI-driven solutions.
- Oversee the development and implementation of AI-powered features such as intelligent route optimization, predictive maintenance, natural language processing, and automated customer service.
- Establish and maintain strong partnerships with AI technology vendors, research institutions, and other relevant stakeholders.
- Stay current with the latest AI trends and technologies, ensuring WorkWave remains at the forefront of innovation in our industry.
- Evaluate the performance and impact of AI implementations on our products and services, making data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning within the AI team and across the organization.
WHAT YOU’LL DO:
- The candidate should be a self-starter, hands-on and be ready to act as our subject matter expert on all aspects of AI
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar discipline preferred or equivalent work experience
- 10 or more years of experience in multiple technology disciplines with extensive experience in business, functional and people management
- 5 or more years of experience in SaaS
- 2 or more years of experience in applying AI/ML/ NLP/deep learning/data-driven statistical analysis & modeling solutions to quantitative analysis
- Strong knowledge of the theory and applications of machine learning, AI, deep learning, data science, NLP, text analytics, unstructured data analytics, supervised/unsupervised learning
- Proven capability in demonstrating successful advanced technology solutions (either prototypes, POCs, well-cited research publications, and/or products) using ML/AI/NLP/data science in one or more domains
- Experience in an applied R&D environment, working in an agile culture to bring cutting-edge technologies to fruition, from initial concept to implementation
- Excellent communication skills to explain complex algorithms, solutions to stakeholders across multiple disciplines, and ability to work in a diverse team
- Comfortable working in a matrixed environment
- Comfortable presenting information to C-Suite
- Collaborative problem solver
- Open to feedback and flexible in approach
