Simplify's Take

What believers are saying

  • GuideStar added Stephanie Neely as COO on Feb. 18, 2026, strengthening operations.
  • Its neurology-forward TBI program launched in 2026 broadens revenue beyond dementia care.
  • GuideStar expanded capacity into Texas, Ohio, and Chicago, then kept publishing compliance webinars.

What critics are saying

  • CMS changed the Long-Stay Antipsychotic Quality Measure on Jan. 1, 2026, raising scrutiny.
  • GuideStar depends on facility contracts; any skilled-nursing budget cuts hit revenue quickly.
  • If CMMI value-based models stall, GuideStar's lobbying spend returns little and margins compress.

What makes GuideStar Eldercare unique

  • GuideStar calls itself the national leader in neurobehavioral eldercare, serving eight states.
  • Its Antipsychotic Stewardship and Psycho-Diagnostic Stewardship programs anchor its compliance-heavy offering.
  • 24/7/365 on-call interdisciplinary teams deliver bedside psychiatric, neurological, geriatric, and psychological care.
