Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Lead the creation, planning, implementation, and assessment of engagement and community-belonging activities and events for graduate and professional students across the Center City and Dixon campuses.
  • Support the development and execution of student programming, including University Student Government/Council, skill development, orientation, co-curricular initiatives, major campus events, and collaborations with academic and administrative offices.
  • Establish competency-based programs and experiences that meet student needs and cultivate belonging and holistic development, including late-night and weekend experiences when necessary.
  • Create program promotions for the campus community and administer digital and social media tools for the office.
  • Manage office purchase processes, including payment requests through reconciliation, vendor communication, expense tracking, and records.
  • Manage hospitality and logistics for student programming, including catering, room reservations and setups, audiovisual services, security, event registrations, event contracts, supply purchasing, volunteer recruitment, and event preparation.
  • Manage event-management logistics for the Office of Student Life and Engagement.
  • Collaborate with Student Affairs stakeholders to develop and achieve goals and measurable outcomes promoting student health and well-being.
  • Develop, promote, and distribute a comprehensive monthly schedule of Student Affairs events, initiatives, and activities, and share it electronically with relevant campus partners.
  • Track event attendance and student evaluations; evaluate program alignment with budget, risk, and student-outcome frameworks; and support the creation of student engagement reports and data.
  • Co-lead management of office resources and vendors, including maintaining vendor and equipment inventories, serving as liaison to the preventive-maintenance vendor, supporting vendor relationships, and maintaining records of warranties and vendor histories.
  • Manage digital files and inventory, including programmatic data, student data, physical materials, and office resources.
  • Support the Assistant Provost with special projects, including Student Affairs and Office of Student Life and Engagement committee scheduling and management.
  • Maintain a rotational presence in the Office of the Assistant Provost.
  • Serve as a point of contact for Student Affairs and the Office of Student Life and Engagement by addressing phone and email inquiries and prioritizing constituent needs.
  • Co-chair a divisional committee.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • A Master's degree in education, psychology/counseling, leadership, health sciences, business, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous managerial experience is preferred.
  • Experience supporting graduate and professional students is preferred.
  • Project coordination experience is preferred.
  • Experience communicating and collaborating across a complex organizational matrix is preferred.
