Requirements
- A high school diploma or General Educational Development credential is required.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant training program from an accredited institution or equivalent experience allowed by state law is required.
- Typically two years of experience as a medical assistant or in a similar clinical support role is required.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant through an accredited professional organization, such as the American Association of Medical Assistants, American Medical Technologists, American Registry of Medical Assistants, National Center for Competency Testing, National Healthcareer Association, National Association for Health Professionals, or American Medical Certification Association, or an equivalent credential recognized by Kettering Health, is required.
- Basic Life Support certification is required.
Responsibilities
- Support patient care by performing clinical and administrative tasks in outpatient and ambulatory care settings.
- Assist healthcare providers with patient intake, routine procedures, and documentation.
- Maintain a safe, efficient, and welcoming environment for patients.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Carry out job responsibilities in alignment with Kettering Health's mission, vision, values, and B Safe program.
