Docker offers a platform for containerization, enabling developers to build, share, and run applications in isolated environments called containers. These containers package applications with their dependencies, ensuring consistent performance across different environments. Docker's business model includes a freemium approach with various subscription tiers, catering to both individual developers and large enterprises. The company's goal is to simplify the development process and improve deployment efficiency.
